As revealed by a survey carried out by the Sexual Advice Association, 12% of the adult male population reach climax too early during sex, reports the United Press International.
Erection problems persist to be the number one problem below the belt for men worldwide, followed by low libido and premature ejaculation, unveils the survey that examined the sexual health of men who corresponded with the study authors via email and call.
The outcomes of the study were based on expert analysis of data obtained from more than 5,000 phone calls and over 2,000 emails from the population surveyed in 2009-10. Out of these many correspondences, over 673 emails called for special attention from male sexual health experts, lead study author Dr. John Tomlinson tells the United Press International.
The average age for men suffering from premature ejaculation was 31-40 years, notes the daily, adding that mostly men from outside Great Britain reported of ejaculation problems. Hasty masturbation in adolescence was found to be the main reason for premature ejaculation in a majority of men.
A problem like early ejaculation can be fixed using the clinical route. Priligy (dapoxetine), a prescription-based medication for premature ejaculation treatment, is known to be well tolerated in most men who do not have adequate control over their ejaculatory reflex.
