The British Football Association has spoken out against the rumors that the England football squad will be taking Viagra (popular erection pills) to the South African World Cup this summer. The report suggests that the squad will be using the to help with their lung capacity at high altitudes. They are due to play a large majority of their games at 5,000 feet above sea level at Rustenburg. The England medical staff is conducting detailed research with a variety of experts ahead of next year's World Cup. However, there has been no discussion with regard to Viagra and certainly no plans for the players to take it in South Africa at the tournament said an FA spokesman.
The rumors emanate from the opinions of sport scientist, Doctor Robert Cullen who felt that Viagra would prove to be beneficial for the team as it would help them to cope with excessive physical exertion, at high altitude levels. Simply speaking, Viagra works in the body to widen the blood vessels. Essentially, this then enhances the physical performances of athletes. To date, Olympic cyclists are already using the drug in the same way as are football teams within South Africa itself.
Pullen is also reported to have suggested that a variety of other countries are already in the process enabling their players to use Viagra to deal with extreme conditions as it has already been shown to improve cardiovascular functioning.
The World Anti Doping Agency firmly believes that Viagra sildenafil is effective in enhancing athletic performance, most notably in areas that affected by greater levels of pollution such as Beijing and London. The same body has attempted to impose an embargo on the use of the drug, in time for the 2012 Olympics in London.
Whilst Viagra can potentially boost the supply of blood to the muscles, which comes with wide benefits for sprinting, it can also improve the overall endurance of an athlete, allowing them to breathe effectively in harsher environments.
Some experts also claim that Viagra contains more muscle building properties than Creatine, the leading muscle building supplement.
