Research reveals that listening to blues music may contribute to the reversal of male pattern hair loss, a medical condition that accounts for the majority of male hair loss cases worldwide, reports an Ohio tabloid.
According to Cincinnati-based tabloid CityBeat, blues music may have the power to solve an age old problem that has been affecting men since the dawn of time. Referring to recent studies, tabloid scribe Mike Breen says that blues has the power to trigger hair regrowth in men who are already losing their scalp hair to androgenic alopecia, which will be music to the ears of men who are open to alternative treatment methods.
Blues can also have a libido-enhancing effect on men, Breen reports, adding that this form of ‘call and response’ music can also improve an individual’s awareness of his/her daily responsibilities, such as paying rent on time.
Currently, baldness treatment is based mainly on clinical intervention. Surgery and medication are the two primary ways to stop hair loss and promote hair regrowth. Genetic screening is believed to be the newly found way to predict the likelihood of hair loss in future in men who have bald members in their immediate families.
Caused by genetic and hormonal factors, male pattern baldness strikes about 30% of the total male population in their 30s. It is approximated that every one in two men aged 50 or above experiences nearly irreversible thinning of hair on the crown.
