It may be just a case of mind over matter when it comes to premature ejaculation, suggests Contra Costa Times, endorsing hypnosis as an alternative premature ejaculation cure.

Hypnosis might help men elongate their sexual experiences by activating the parasympathetic nervous system, reports Laura Casey of Contra Costa Times. Referring to a subliminal self-treatment carried out by renowned anesthetist and hypnotherapist Seth-Deborah Roth in the 1980s, the daily suggests that hypnosis can act as a well-guided tool to cure a number of health problems that are caused by an impaired brain functioning. And premature ejaculation does have a lot to do with how the brain works during sex.

A man must be able to control his ejaculatory reflex if he wants to last long in bed. The brain regulates his impulses through a neurotransmitter called serotonin. Clinical premature ejaculation treatment in the form of Priligy focuses on delaying the reuptake of serotonin in the brain, thus ensuring an enhanced control over ejaculatory reflex.

As anxiety is known to be a risk factor for premature ejaculation, the treatment suggested by the daily can be effective in relieving anxious thoughts an individual faces when excited. A 2-hour session can take a person to a state of “relaxed awareness”, which could be helpful in regulating the rapid stream of impulses linked to premature ejaculation.
