According to a survey by one of New York’s leading market research agencies, women who love online gaming enjoy a smarter and happier sex life compared to women who are not much into it.
Playing games on a PC or mobile phone is said to boost self-esteem and kick-start libido in women. The finding comes from a Harris Interactive survey of more than 2,000 American women, suggesting that women who are into online games are more likely to make better lovers and be more socially active.
According to the Harris Interactive survey report, 57% of the total number of female participants said they enjoyed sex more frequently than the 52% of population that did not admit to gaming as a pastime. Even more interestingly, 70 out of 100 female gamers admitted to having a rollicking sex life with a stable partner.
The survey further demonstrates that 42 out of 100 women who like to spend time on social networking sites playing different games also devote time to their loved ones in real life. Only 31% of non-gamers show similar social attitudes, says the report.
When it comes to social networking, gamers seem to have a wider friendship online than non-gamers. According to the large-scale survey, it is found that 86% of those women who like gaming also love to interact with their friends on social networking websites compared to 71% of non-gamers.
The study might have far-reaching implications on the future of female sexual dysfunction treatment, one might say. Low sexual desire and difficulty being intimate is fairly common for some groups of women. If the figures are anything to go by women who do not partake in online gaming may be missing an opportunity to get more out of their relationship.
