The American Food & Drug Administration has recalled a number of impotence drugs for fear that they may contain a number of unregistered prescription medicines. The products, distributed by Atlas Operations were reported to have been contaminated with large quantities of strong erectile dysfunction compounds, the most notable of which is sildenafil, found in Viagra.
Atlas Operations is said to have cooperated well with the FDA, although it has not been confirmed whether or not they will face prosecution. Experts believe that the use of Sildenafil can be dangerous for some men, particularly if they are already undergoing a course of nitrates because the combination of the 2 can lower blood pressure to dangerous levels.
